This 9” floor drain was developed to save contractor installation time and speed construction. Secured by four screws, the FormIt® drain assembly, the drain, a removable foam form, and a carriage is screwed in place to decking so they don't shift when concrete is poured. The need to reset misaligned drains is eliminated. Once the concrete sets, the foam foam is easily removed leaving an open path for connection to the waste line. The strainer top can then be made level with adjacent flooring from topside after finish flooring is installed.
