For freeze-resistant reliability all climates, the valve housing and 3/4" inlet of this sanitary roof hydrant are positioned in the warm area below the roof deck. Water is channeled to the hydrant's locking cast iron head and 3/4" hose connection through galvanized casing that is affixed to roof decking and waterproofing materials with flashing and underdeck clamps for leakproof installation. After use, the valve casing drains into a sealed stainless canister below the roof deck keeping the hydrant rupture free and system water clean.
